The Situation
A household of five — two adult children, their spouses, and an elderly parent — had been managing property and care responsibilities through informal conversations that kept circling without resolution. Meetings tended to stall when different views clashed.
What the Session Covered
The Family Meeting Skills Session introduced a simple structure: each person states their view, others summarise before responding, and the group agrees on one next step before ending. The facilitator ran the group through the format with a topic the family chose themselves.
Outcome
The family left with the prompt cards and used them for two follow-up household meetings without facilitation. They described those meetings as shorter and more productive than previous ones. One unresolved topic was identified and referred to a legal professional for separate advice.

The Situation
A couple in their 50s had accumulated records across a home safe, a workplace filing cabinet, a cloud account, and a physical folder of varying organisation. They had no shared understanding of what existed or where the key documents were kept.
Programme Approach
The Family Records Programme ran across three sessions over six weeks. The couple completed an inventory, agreed on a unified labelling system, and worked through the scanning checklist for priority documents. Break periods allowed them to sort physical files between sessions.
Outcome
By the final session, all records were in one of three agreed locations, each with a label. A printed handbook documented the system. Both participants said they could locate any major document within two minutes. The programme also surfaced two insurance policies they had forgotten they held.
